Welcome to this Sylenth1 tutorial!
After using this synth in many of my tutorials and having many requests to make a tutorial on it, I thought it would be a great idea to give you an in-depth guide on how it all works so that you can use it like a pro!
Sylenth1 is still by far one of the most popular synths of today but can be very overwhelming when you first open it up. So many different knobs to tweak and turn! How much time do you spend tweaking knobs and wondering what it’s doing? Or when you do hear a change in the sound, you have no idea what it’s doing? Sound familiar?
It’s very frustrating and time consuming just tweaking knobs on presets and not actually understanding what they do!
Lets put a stop to those frustrations in this Sylenth1 tutorial, where I am going to be going through each section of the synth explaining in a way that is easy to follow and non-confusing so that you can navigate the synth like a pro!
All of this will be done while showing you some handy tips for the synth that not many people I speak to even knew existed! This is perfect for anyone who hates reading manuals and prefers a visual approach to learning!
Please note no particular sounds are designed in this Sylenth1 tutorial. This is so that you can have a deep understanding of the synth and how it works so that when it comes to some of the sound design courses coming soon you will be set up for success!

I read the Sylenth1 documentation, but it was even pretty hard for me to understand the workflow (especially the LFOs and mods), so I decided to get this tutorial.
The tutorial is not about sound design. It covers the basics of Sylenth1 and how filters, mods and so on, work and interact with each other. The LFOs are very well explained. In all, the tutorial was a good foundation for me to understand how all the presets of Sylenth1 are configured. The configuration of the presets overwhelmed me all the time, but it's much clearer now.
I really enjoyed your tutorial on sylenth 1 I really enjoyed and learned more about sylenth 1 than ever. Going to depth into using filters and parameters and using the misc controls and using oscillators and showing how you can create your own sound. Thanks again Allan for another masterclass tutorials.
Kind regards Ronnie whiteley
Goes through everything on this tutorial and explains really well. Great money spent for knowledge 👌 💯
I have viewed quite a few tutorials online regarding how the synths I use, they have been genre focused and taught me how to create specific sounds for that genre which is always useful, I currently use Slyneth1 & ANA2. What this tutorial does that none of the others I have come across do is that it tells and shows me very simply and very effectively how the sound travels around the synth from the point at which I add a voice to my 1st oscillator all way to what I am actually hearing, where the sound goes at each stage and what happens while it is there, moving through the various functions of the synth. Having watched it I applied the same basic principles and sound map to ANA2. The result is that I now have 2 powerful tools available to me that I now understand and that I am not so scared of fiddling with lol. In all seriousness this tutorial really is incredible!!! Really grateful to the boss for taking the time to break it down and practically idiot proof the process of creating sound with this tool. Well worth the money and a massive help to me personally!!!
