Check out the sounds created in the Trance Leads Layering Tutorial. [Audio Sample]
⬤ Wondering why your leads never seem as big and as powerful as the pro’s tracks?
⬤ Find your self trying to open up your leads to sound big but they start distorting?
⬤ Confused about how many layers your leads need to sound big?
⬤ Struggling with sound choice?
⬤ Not sure how to shape each sound in each frequency band?
⬤ Want to know how to make layering leads much easier so that you don’t run into problems later on?
⬤ Want to know clever tricks to add more brightness and movement to your leads?
OK, so here is it!
A tutorial that I have been asked for many times over, and I completely understand why! Getting that pro sound can be tricky when you aren’t sure how to approach it!
Have you ever found yourself running into these issues before?… You start to open up your filter cut off to create a bigger sound, but then the lower notes in your leads start to distort?
You start layering your leads thinking that it’s making it fatter, and then get lost with the countless layers you have included? Are these even working?
You start to create layers for your lead, and after a while, it just turns into a big messy sound with no definition?
So, In this tutorial, I am going to be showing you how to create professional-sounding Trance Leads and how to fix many different issues you may face when you are trying to get professional, thick and full sounding Trance leads.
Whether you are trying to create leads in Ableton, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase or any other DAW of your choice, this will help you achieve that!

Yes. Please don’t restrict yourself from the knowledge inside this tutorial due to having another DAW. All the techniques you will learn in these videos you can be implemented into your own DAW using your own unique DAWs plugins.
***Please note – You can use any synth/plugins or DAW of your choice to create a similar sound to the one done in this video. The techniques are described to you in such a way that you are able to implement the same techniques into your own work very easily.
The tutorial is excellent, each step explained, neatness and specific details.
I can see that I am improving the sound a lot, and applying the mix well, maintaining an order regarding the frequencies.
Thank you Alan, for sharing your knowledge with people who love trance and have a need to create it.
What I mean is - more than a tutorial this is an insight into how Allan works. If you want to get "that" big trance wall of sound that mainly uses a saw wave this is for you. As I'm not an ableton or sylenth user I found the vid hard to follow at times, I have other AM tutoriols and I followed those ones easier but I understand why. This is what I mean it's more of a masterclass as Allan tweeks away intuitively dialling in the sound using sylenth (and other effects plugins) in real time as a pro who knows how to get a sound most likely does. It's fascinating to watch but hard to keep up at times without more intimet knowledge of the software. I definettely got a lot of tips out of the video though, seeing it all laid out, there are many tips for any level of producer to gain. Deffinetely a video to go back over a few times! I especially enjoyed the very end to! What I mean is Allan adds in one by on - the four layers he's made "stacking" them on top of one another! If I'm being critical I would have started the video this way and then show the viewer how to get there! Not so much a criticism as a matter of style. I'm always amazed how AM ends up so close to the reference track from so far away at the beggining sound. So all in all money well spent again with AM Studios, and I appreciate the discounts given once you buy and review. Nice marketing.
Never thought that a tutorial could help me that much!
Lately I noticed my main leads were not sounding as they should, too layered not enough high end. This tutorial has helps me gel my sound together more along with other tricks I have been implementing
