Hi everyone! So when I decided to look at layering Trance (and any other genre) like this it changed my whole perspective on mixing and totally changed the game for me.
If I was to give 3 top tips mixing tips to anyone producing this would definitely be in there for sure. As I mentioned above it was probably the technique that took my productions up the most amount of levels.
It allowed me to get more depth and space in my mix, and I have never looked at layering the same way again! Let me know in the comment section if you ever approach layering this way.
Here are some reviews from the full Layering & Depth Tutorial…
★★★★★
Tudor Gibson – “Really interesting production tutorial and very helpful. This was very helpful, Allan introduced new ideas I had not thought of before, using Sylenth showing how to get the most out of its 4 oscillators. Techniques can be applied to any synth, making layers sound more rich and juicy”

“Mark – “5 stars? Every star in the universe you mean! Words cannot describe how this tutorial has shown me ways of getting my sounds and eventually the mix sound from “good” to “incredible”. I’ll be honest, I make trance music now for 2 decades now and having the Mixdown series I was kind of afraid not to gain that much anymore. Well, I was wrong! Techniques in here make you instantly grasp WHY your soundscape isn’t on par with other productions out there. I can honestly say that this tutorial combined with the mixdown one has been really giving my tracks the sound I was after… and the best thing yet, now that I also know WHY, each track after will improve, period.”
