Great sounding patches. Diverse styles of rolling/ offbeat / driving bass sounds available. Love it.
Hi Allan. I wrote a review 2 weeks ago but I noticed that by mistake I wrote my review on shop reviews instead on the product. So now I'm writing again my review here.
I have just gone through the Complete Bundle Series 1 [Creating a Trance Track from Scratch] and all I have to say first of all is, it was pretty much worth investing my time and my money on these tutorials. To be honest, I am a beginner and it was the first time I have gone through a professional processing of making a trance track and it really got me from nothing to something which is a significant progress to me. As I have read in another review, I totally agree that one tutorial of yours equals a lot of hours of watching random tutorials on youtube. This means, your tutorials are compact and essential. I also like the fact that your tutorials are not pre-planned because I personally find it very important to show us the issues which may come up during the processing and how to overcome them, rather than showing only that everything is working perfectly. I really enjoyed my time with each and every tutorial of the bundle, although the tutorial 005 - Tech Drop is the only one I haven't gone through yet just because it didn't really suit my track but I will probably check it out later in the future. There are some of the tutorials that I have gone through them 3 or 4 times and each time I had something new to learn. The first 4 tutorials of the bundle (Kick & Bass, Percussion, Acid and Trance Melody/Pads & Breakdown) have been very helpful as it was the first time for me to deal with the most basic elements of my track. Also, the tutorials 6, 7 and 8 have been really interesting because I managed to cover many gaps of mine and it helped me understand better the role of each element in the track. The Full Track Mixdown is the tutorial I liked the most and I really enjoyed working with it hours hours because that's what made me feel even more "producer". Indeed, after I finished the mixdown on my track with the tutorial, I could hear a lot of difference and improvement as I managed to give more space and clarity to the sound. I didn't expect such a difference to be honest. However, I still need a lot of work on mixing and generally on producing. I'm still at the beginning anyway. Although I use FL Studio, I can say that it wasn't difficult to transfer the knowledge into my DAW. The last tutorial of the bundle (010 - Vocal Adlibs & Piano) is the only tutorial I still haven't purchased yet because the project into my DAW have become heavy enough for my 10 year-old laptop so I couldn't go longer with the processing. I am really looking forward to purchasing this tutorial and other tutorials as Trance Mastering and Trance Atmospheric intro. I would highly recommend Allan Morrow's tutorials.
Thank you so much Allan for sharing your knowledge.
You have been a great tutor!
I've been eyeing up Allan's tutorials for a while now, i'm sure I could of learnt just as much from Logic tutorials but ideally wanted to see the techniques using the Ableton stock plugins. I have been practicing techniques without any help and real understanding on and off for a few years now, this can get you so far but as with anything having a professional like Allan to talk you through step by step in every process has been a game changer for me. My kick and bass are now sitting together perfectly more driving and fuller sounding. I give this tutorial 5 stars and am looking forward to learning more with AM Studios 🙂
Brilliant tutorial, breaks down all the key fundamentals for constructing melodies for Trance.
Allan Morrow is an Professional I bought kick and bass and
I can see a little light the end of the tunnel ,before this tutorial I did had a clue where to star a track ,now I'm getting there little by little. ALLAN MORROW THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS THANK YOU BLESS
I´ve purchased a lot of stuff from AM Studios and I can recommend most of it.
These pack is perfect for your Trance-production, because it makes the workflow a lot easier to create your bass section with a lot of good presets in one pack.
And 10 bucks…? Come one…get it
I own numerous sound banks for spire. Once I came across this one it instantly took my full attention which led to immediate purchase !
I couldn't be Happier !
Get your hands on it now 👊🏼
One of my favorite tutorials so far. ive applied some of the techniques in this tutorial to my productions and ive seen great results, highly recommend!
What can I say about this! It's a beauty!
Great template! I purchased the video tutorial so I could follow how it's done. Allan Morrows tutorials are the best on the internet by a clear mile!
hi there alan just thought i would say what a brilliant tutorial i purchased off you 108 days ago. i have learned alot even tho i dont use ableton i only use fl studio i have still been learning the fundimentals in depth of using plugins and how to prevent side chaining and using the piano roll and how to make your kick and bass to sound punchy and geting you tracks sound like a pro. your tutorials are very educating and unique and very easy and simple to understand the basics of trance music production. these tutorials i will keep for years and allways keep going back to them over and over again if get stuck ect. i would reccomend your tutorials to any 1 and tell them they are worth every penny. thank you alan i will buying more of your tutorials in the near future kind regards ronnie whiteley
Words cannot describe how this tutorial has shown me ways of getting my sounds and eventually the mix sound from "good" to "incredible".
I'll be honest, i make trance music now for 2 decades now and having the Mixdown series i was kind of affraid not to gain that much anymore.
Well, i was wrong! Techniques in here makes you instantly grasp WHY your soundscape isn't on par with other productions out there. I can honestly say that this tutorial combined with the mixdown one has been really giving my tracks the sound i was after... and the best thing yet, now t hat i also know WHY , each track after will improve, period. Yes ,i am that confident now. No, not bragging at all, but sincerely over the moon what this knowledge does when implented as should!
And it made me really think of alternative ways to experiment with.
Now i am so eager for the "Thinking outside the box-series"!
I had no problem watching this 4 times in a row (his voice is not annoying btw 😉 )and implementing every single technique in my tracks as Allan really shows every single step and tells you why ,which means you understand the PURPOSE instead of just implementing the technique.
What really stands out to me, is that Allan adviced me to buy this after listening to a track i sent. He could easily tell me i should buy his whole course, but he didn't!
To me that's a beautifull gesture. Yes, he is running a firm, but he also is "just a guy".
Your friend Mark
Picked up some great tips so far. I havnt finished it yet but I’ve already learned a few very useful tricks
Very helpfull to make proper basslines in uplifting & tech trance 😊
Gona use they for my incoming tracks 😊
The latest tutorial , Ableton 10 - Trance Kick & Bass , is one of Allan's best kick & bass lessons to date. They all offer something a bit different , but this one is great for all around knowledge and gives a more detailed look into the process of putting the kick and basses together. This video is the culmination of his previous kick & bass tutorials rolled into one and all of the techniques shown do not just apply to Ableton users, but to any DAW. Everything is covered from choosing the sounds and samples , eqing, analyzing , adding FX & stabs , the use of LFO Tool and gain staging to get the sound you're after. This tutorial will give you a better understanding of how to make better decisions with your sounds and layering choices. There is also some sound advice on setting up certain things in your template ahead of time to help speed up your workflow. This lesson is a solid start to what I'm sure will be another great series from AM Studios.
Great set of basses for Sylenth , especially the mid basses. There are many sounds to layer together and experiment with. Although it's a smaller bank of 31 presets, all of the presets are usable unlike some of the other banks on the market. These presets are pretty much the bread and butter of what you need for sub and mid bass lines. Immensely useful presets at a very affordable price.
I was looking a long time for really good presets for Tech Trance…now I´ve found them in this pack. Highly recommended. 10/10
In December 2019, I had the choice between buying another VST or purchase AM's Trance Bundle Package. I chose this Trance Package. It's been one of the best purchasing decisions that I've made in a long time and has accellerated my knowledge and skillsets within weeks that would normally have taken me years if I continued to search for this kind of information by watching countless Youtube clips, or learn through hit and miss efforts on my own.
Each video is about 2 hours long in which Allan goes into deep details of the techniques and concepts he uses to create professional sounding Trance tracks. His insights and instructions are the best source of knowledge and inspiration that I have ever come across. Much of the information he shares can also be used in other styles of EDM genres.
When it comes to EDM, Alllan's Trance Bundle is my one and only go to reference that sits on my Desktop.
Fantastic tutorial that gives a comprehensive explanation on the mastering process and the general guidelines on signal mastering processing chain.
Really in depth and everything is explained in super simple terms which I like. Also taught me a new way of building pads for more depth which I hadn’t thought of before.
This was the first of many that I purchased in order to fill the gaps in techniques I didn't know I didn't know. It's the small details that Allan dives into, and they make such a huge difference in the track. As mentioned, I've since purchased several more of these because they are very easy to follow and the pricing is fair. Cheers
