Trance Percussion video
I’ve purchased several of Allan’s tutorials and this has been one of my favorites and one I keep turning back to - goes into each and every detail you need to keep your track driving along, and to date the most comprehensive review of the topic I have come across - all you need to know about percussion for trance is in there.

Watched this one multiple times.
Although I can play the drums, translating it to my DAW has been difficult. My percussion ability in Logic sounded generic and didn't stand out. I bought this tutorial when it first came out and since then, I have watched it multiple times, picking up something new each time. One of the biggest problems I had is that I wasn't filling in the space with my percussion and I was leaving gaps in the mid range frequencies. My percussion would get lost in the leads and didn't sit right with the low end. This tutorial gives great techniques on varying up the velocities, panning, sound leveling, fx's, and getting the percussion to sit properly in the track and still stand out at its loudest parts. My favourite part of the tutorial is the techniques Allan provides to make percussion sound unique. He has some cool tricks on making your own loops, taking existing loops and modifying them in the sampler, changing key on percussion to get it to sit correct and many other small adjustments that can make a significant impact. This one really helped me. Thanks Allan.

Opened up so many ideas!
This video was everything I needed to understand different ways to stack my percussion and getting it to sound full. Percussion was something I found I was lacking in my tracks. Once I watch this video it opened many new ideas on getting the percussion sound I was looking for. Allan does a great job explaining why and how he does his process with coming up with ideas for his percussion. I find it super helpful.

All around great tutorial! Best out there
This really helped me make sense of what I was doing wrong for bass lines, while also thinking outside of the box a little. Every thing is explained from a fundamental perspective, with almost all stock DAW plug ins so everything you learn here transfers over directly to whatever workstation you use! Truly a great course.
