After the success of the last Progressive Trance tutorials, I present to you the latest in the series!
In this episode, I’ll be revealing to you some powerful techniques on how I build my Progressive Trance Percussion from the ground up. I’ll be explaining my thought process behind everything I do, and the reasons why in real-time (no pre-planned sounds). This way of learning is much better because watching tutorials were the sounds are pre-chosen and already work together, does not help you understand why they work!
As a producer, you want to be able to overcome any difficulties you have in your studio, by having an understanding of why certain sounds do not work.
So, I’m going to be explaining in great depth everything I do to build a solid groove, and I’ll also be explaining what type of sound textures work with a progressive sounding Trance track, and again most importantly the reasons why.
With over 10 years of producing under my belt, I know exactly how it feels to be stuck in the studio, and this is why I want to guide you through any issues or misunderstandings you have during this process while holding back NO SECRETS!
If you are looking to take your progressive Trance Percussion to the next level, or just wanting to see another producer’s approach, be sure to grab your copy now!

There is no set way to produce music, and you are always going to come up against issues and creative blocks. In these tutorials, there are no pre-planned sounds, and everything is done in real-time so that you get to see any problems that come up and how to overcome them.
This is a much better way to learn than watching sounds that already fit, fall right in to place. We all know that is not how producing music works in the real world! Watching in real-time will equip you with the skills and understanding of how to overcome any particular issues that arise. It will show you different ways to tackle it so you don’t quit and instead come out of the studio with completed projects.
Having a great understanding of what type of sounds to listen out for and why when selecting your Percussion is going to give you a great deal of confidence when working on your music and will save you time filtering through sounds that don’t match your track. Couple that with understanding how to mix them correctly, and knowing how to get creative with them… you will be creating professional percussion in no time!
Nothing sparks inspiration quite like being confident in the studio. No more listening to your percussion wondering what reverb? what delay? why is it not cutting through my mix? etc etc… It’s all in this tutorial.
Yes, all the technique you will learn in these videos you can be implemented into your own DAW using your own unique DAWs plugins.
***Please note the above plugins and samples are not essential as you can use any of your preferred plugins or samples to re-create your own unique sounds.
