In this tutorial, I will show you how I create a Hard trance Breakdown from nothing. I will show you how I create the musical elements first, such as the Hard Trance Melody, Pads, Percussion, Counter plucks etc. (Listen to the audio file above to hear what is created). I will then show you how I layer the sounds to create a big wall of sound and get a professional sound.
After this, I will be laying the breakdown out and creating the transitions with automation etc, for it to all flow properly.
Everything is also done in real-time with nothing pre-planned, so you get to see the full creation process from sound/sample choice, sound design, progressions, processing, layering, effects & mixing.

I don’t use Logic Pro I use a different DAW. Can I still use this video?
Yes. Please don’t restrict yourself from the knowledge inside this tutorial due to having another DAW. All the techniques you will learn in these videos can be implemented into your own DAW using your own unique DAWs plugins.
What software synths or plugins are used in this video?
- Logix Pro X Stock Plugins. (Any DAW is ok to use)
- Sylenth1 (You can replace this with any synth of your choice)
***Please note – You can use any synth/plugins or DAW of your choice to create a similar sound to the one done in this video. The techniques are described to you in such a way that you are able to implement the same techniques into your own work very easily.

Masterpiece
Is a very powerful tutorial, especially for beginners like me. I appreciate the fact that you use Logic (like me). I try to replicate the synths sounds as better I can, using alchemy instead of Sylenth but my sound looks more like a toy…
I'm not a great expert of English languages (talked) and I think subtitles can be very useful.

Hard Trance Melody Tutorial
I have purchased a number of Allan's tutorials over the past few weeks which have all been excellent and after watching the Hard Trance Melody Breakdown Tutorial it has really helped me with brainstorming my current productions and creating unique and simple melody's.
His videos are clear, to the point and easy to understand for any level of ability.

Hard Trance Melody Breakdown - Absolute Class
I think everytime I leave feedback or message Allan on Instagram or on AM Studio webpage, I've been pretty much been nagging for more hard trance tutorials. Well the wait was definitely worth it!! This tutorial like the hard trance kick and bass tutorials has delivered the goods yet again. Over 3 hrs long with everything you need to create a proper HT melody breakdown with that classic breakbeat sound, plus all the percussion choices, effects and transitions. Outstanding tutorial yet again.
Allan, please make this into a series for all us hard trancers. Nice one
