What software synths or plugins are used in this video?

For the purpose of explaining compression, I have used the stock compressor within Logic as it is very easy to show you what is happening and makes it very easy to understand. If you are using a different compressor, please DO NOT let this put you off this learning material as the same fundamentals can be applied to the compressors you are using.

I have also used LFO tool as a visual aid for you to see what is happening. LFO tool is NOT required and is not used for anything other than a visual aid to show you what is happening to the sound.

*** Please note – This tutorial is not specific to logics compressors, and the techniques used to shape and control the sounds can be used across the board.

Understanding Compression
Finally found the time to watch this tutorial. I use the stock compressor in Cubase and this was easy to migrate from the tutorial to the DAW I use. Obviously some compressors have additional adjustments but the main aspects to a compressor is taught in detail in this tutorial. I actually understand a lot more about compression now. Great tutorials as always Alan
