In this episode, I am going to show you exactly how I master my tracks.

Although it’s always a good idea to get your tracks mastered by a mastering engineer due to their experience and being another set of ears, learning to master yourself has many big advantages.

A mastering engineer can only do their best with what you give them, but what if learning to master yourself could then improve your mixdowns so that you either didn’t have to settle with a master you were not totally happy with (due to your mixdown not being perfect), or keep paying for more new revisions?!

Ever sent a track to get mastered, and when it comes back, you wish you could have tweaked something else before you sent it off? When learning to master yourself, you can keep tweaking your track until it’s perfect for that final mastering engineer job, or you master it yourself.

Even if you master it yourself or hand it over to a final set of ears, having a good understanding of the mastering process will allow you to create better music much faster and save money!

Ozone 8 (Please note – This can be replaced with your own EQ’s, Limiters, Compressors & Stereo Wideners etc)

***Please note – You do not need the exact same plugins or DAW to follow along in this tutorial. Simply use your own DAW and plugins to replicate.

Finally, the secret to mastering trance music revealed: how to EQ, compress, and limit to sound like the tracks released weekly on record labels. But be careful: if you haven't purchased the other tutorials in the series, then they won't be of much use to you, because Allan's starting point is a well-crafted sound. So, before purchasing this one, be sure to purchase the others, especially the mixdown tutorial.

Not Only Talented In Music But In Teaching As Well

I confess that I did not know Allan Morrow until I see an advertisement for his mixdown and mastering course which took my attention. Well, checked his work which is insanely good (even added him to my Trance artist list for sure), and then Well why not try one of his courses?. I can totally say that he is not only talented in making music but also in teaching. The level of details and his explanations are amazing! I have been eating courses in order to improve my mixdown and being able to learn to master lately and I got really impressed with how many tips and tricks you get from this course. So, if I recommend it? I totally do!
